The article explores how the 15-minute city can improve quality of life by bringing essential services closer to residents, reducing travel times, pollution, stress and social isolation. Drawing on Paris as a leading example, it highlights measures such as pedestrianisation, cycling infrastructure, shared public spaces and support for local businesses. It also addresses urban sprawl in Mexico and the need for stronger action to build more compact, connected and equitable cities.
